A Self-Employed Way of Working

Access Care operates as an introductory agency. We introduce self-employed carers to clients and families who engage them directly.

This approach offers a greater level of flexibility and independence, along with the opportunity to build consistent, one-to-one working relationships within a client’s home.

You will need to be comfortable working on a self-employed basis and understand the responsibilities this involves. Our team will guide you through this during the registration process.

We maintain high standards in order to protect both our clients and the carers we work with.

To be considered for registration, you will typically need:

  • Proven experience in professional care

  • A good standard of spoken and written English

  • A willingness to work on a self-employed basis

  • A satisfactory enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
